Audrey & Pat’s Engagement Session Fort Hunter Harrisburg PA
THE ENGAGEMENT SESSION
This session was EPIC!! It was a beautiful day and that made it possible for us to capture some amazing photos! They even brought their Harley Davidson Motorcycles with to have in some of their pictures. Fort Hunter in Harrisburg, PA was an amazing place with great views for their engagement session! Their wedding will take place at the Hagley Museum in Wilmington, DE in December of 2020 and Shay Scala Photography is so thrilled to be a small part of their love story!
HOW THEY MET
“We met at a country line dancing bar, but it wasn’t the typical boy meets girl, they fall in love, and they ride off into the sunset. Nope, we meet twice a week for almost three months, and had the same conversation each time.
Audrey: Hey are you in the Army?”
Patrick: “Yeah”
Audrey: “Cool, I have friends at West Point”
And off she ran. While yes this paints me as a crazy person, in my defense, there was a lot of whiskey involved as well as I am completely oblivious. It also did not help that Patrick was trying to talk to me through a friend who was not passing me the messages. Eventually, at a party, he got my attention and we started dating shortly after.”
HOW THEY FELL IN LOVE
They fell in love on the back of a motorcycle. Their first date they went for a ride and never looked back.
HOW DID HE PROPOSE?
Well, Patrick proposed to Audrey at breakfast with their families. They had found out about 3.5 weeks earlier that she was pregnant. So they had agreed to get married. Patrick asked Audrey’s dad for his permission to marry his daughter and breakfast was arranged. Audrey knew that it was the plan for him to propose. So she had to act like she didn’t know. He knelt down next to her nephew, got her attention and asked her to marry him. Obviously, she said yes!!
YOUR LOVE STORY IS MADE INTO A MOVIE – WHAT WOULD YOU TITLE IT?
“Oh my, a movie. You could go with “Wild Hogs” since we like motorcycles. Or maybe “Finally Ever After” since it took us ten years to get to this point.”
DESCRIBE YOUR RELATIONSHIP IN 5 WORDS
Crazy, passionate, adventurous, entertaining, laughter
SOMETHING THAT MEANS THE MOST TO YOU
“To the both of us, our children are the world. Jack who is 10, and Loretta who is 14 months. On top of it, with both love riding our motorcycles, our vintage 1948 Ford, and Philadelphia Union Soccer. Patrick always knows how to make me laugh, even when I don’t want to. Life is never boring with him, and I hope it stays that way.”
